Busted (Lies-Big Trouble)

by Jean Stone
(Great Falls, MT)

Props - dress up a can of shaving cream like a boy or girl. I used a girl, using heavy construction paper or another heavy stock to outline and color in the figure of the girl with hair and all and then fastened it to the can. Make sure her mouth on the character is small and round so that the mouth of the shaving cream lines up with the mouth on the girl.

A pie plate

I made up a story about a girl that lied starting with a "small" lie. Each time she speaks a lie, shaving cream come out of her mouth. I catch the shaving cream in the pie plate. I start with just a small amount of shaving cream and each time she lies, the lies get bigger and bigger and more complicated until she is so entangled in lies (the pie plate by this time is full of shaving cream) she is caught. To add a little drama to the skit, I end up by calling out "BUSTED" and put her face down into the pile of shaving cream.

I can send the script I wrote but it is rather long (2 full pages).
