Christ's Lemonade

by Sierra Roofener
(Missouri)

needed: Lemonade pre-mix powder, Empty Pitcher, pitcher of water, cups.
(goes great with the woman at the well)

Talk to children about the story of how Jesus is the living water while pulling out the empty pitcher and the lemonade mix. While talking about story, scoop out the amount of lemonade powder needed for the size of the pitcher. Ask the kids who wants lemonade, naturally most if not all will say yes. Pour your "lemonade" (powder) into the cups and give it to the kids. They will know that's not right, and will probably not be afraid to tell you. Ask them whats missing in the lemonade, and they will tell you water. Then, take back their cups while saying something like "Right, were missing water. Without water, our lemonade is dry and sour and just plain yucky. Our lives are like this too", pour lemonade mix back into pitcher," this lemonade is like our lives. On our own, we're dry and sour, and not good. But with Jesus," pull out the pitcher of water and slowly start to pour into lemonade mix, "We become good and sweet and we have everything we need. Jesus is our living water and his water he gives us is his salvation." then you can take it anywhere you think is good to take it.
