Old Fashioned Harvest Day!

by Sean Goss
(Kansas City, MO)

We try to have a big day planned each year in the fall called Old Fashioned Harvest Day. On this special day we ask the kids to dress in their old fashioned clothes (bib overalls, bonnets etc.), and have old fashioned games planned for them such as bobbing for apples, potato sack races, etc. Prizes for the day include pumpkins and old fashioned stick candy. This is usually the last outdoor big day before winter. Try it -- the kids will love it!
