The Tattered Jacket

by Timothy
(Kansas)

Items Needed For This Free Children's Church Object Lesson: 1 ripped and stained jacket, make sure it is ripped and stained in an exagerated way, so that the children know it is in really bad shape. 1 nice clean jacket

The purpose of this lesson is to teach Christian children to stop living the way they lived before they got saved, and to start obeying God by doing the things He wants them to do now that they are saved.
Suggested Bible verses Ephesians 4:17-24.

During this object lesson explain how some Christians want to keep doing the old sins that they use to do before they knew Jesus Christ as Savior. (Put on the old jacket.) However, God wants us to put off the things of the old nature and start doing the things that He wants Christians to do. (Put on the nice, clean jacket.)
